KidSport Alberta

kidsport

On the eighth day of Christmas, Andrea Tyrrell, our Senior Associate Investment Advisor, nominated KidSport Alberta.

Why? “KidSport Alberta provides grants to help cover registration costs so kids aged 18 and under can play a season of sport,” said Andrea. “An article I read this fall struck a chord with me as it noted that KidSport had seen a significant increase in demand for its services, largely driven by inflationary pressures.”

“I have witnessed the positive impact that youth sports have had on my own children and to those around them in the sports communities that we have been affiliated with. I’m hopeful that by supporting an organization such as KidSport, we can help ease the pressure on families that may have to choose between living expenses and participating in activities that can contribute to the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our youth.”

Since the late 1980s, following Japan’s economic miracle, the idea of creating “money for nothing” has become a go-to strategy for many involved in crafting fiscal policy. However, this tactic ultimately solves nothing. Should investors be concerned?

Thoughts from our Wealth Planner – Probate Planning: A Double-Edged Sword

The costliest piece of advice is the one usually obtained for free.
