The Magic of Christmas 12 Days of Christmas
On the last day of Christmas, Craig Baun, our Senior Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager, along with Michael Pate, our Senior Wealth Advisor and Portfolio Manager, nominated The Magic of Christmas.
The holiday season is a time for giving, and at the Baun & Pate Investment Group (BPIG), we’re excited to bring back our 12 Days of Giving for 2024.
In place of sending Christmas cards, we are continuing a tradition that aligns with our core values as active members of the Calgary community. Over the course of 12 days, we will highlight a charity selected by a member of our team—one that holds personal significance to them and truly embodies the spirit of Calgary and the essence of giving back. Thanks to the generosity of Michael Pate and Craig Baun, each of these organizations will receive a $1,000 donation to support the meaningful work they do in our community.
On the ninth day of giving, Sandra Muzia and Anna Frank, our Senior Investment Associates, nominated Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids.
Why? “We believe in the power of community, and we’re committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children and families in Calgary. That’s why we’ve chosen to support Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids (BB4CK) as our charity of choice,” said Anna and Sandra. “Through their mission to provide nutritious, free meals to children in need, BB4CK is addressing one of the most fundamental needs for youth—access to healthy food—ensuring that kids are ready to learn, grow, and thrive.”
“At BB4CK, the goal is simple: to provide nutritious meals to children who would otherwise go without. Food insecurity is a reality for too many children in our community, and without access to healthy, balanced meals, children face greater challenges in school and life. By supporting BB4CK, we are helping to ensure that kids have the nutrition they need to be able to focus and concentrate on learning instead of how hungry they are. BB4CK’s meal programs help level the playing field by ensuring that children from all backgrounds have the energy and nourishment they need to succeed in school and are committed to remove barriers to food in a dignified way for any child who arrives to school without enough food in their lunch.”
“Food insecurity disproportionately affects vulnerable populations, and no child should be left behind because of their socio-economic background. Having children of our own we believe that all children, regardless of their circumstances, have access to the basic right of nutritious food.”
“The work that BB4CK does has a ripple effect. By addressing hunger and malnutrition, they are not only helping children in the short term but also setting them up for long-term success in education, health, and overall well-being. Together we can make a difference for the kids in our community!”
Please follow along on our LinkedIn page and our website as we highlight a new charity every business day until December 24th.
