Employee Spotlight: Pamela Marrie Pineda

Pamela Marrie is an Investment Associate on our rockstar administrative team here at Cresco. We asked Pamela a few questions to help you get to know her better.

Tell us a little about your role on the team.

Formally, as an Investment Associate I take care of trading, estates, and report preparation amongst other daily tasks. Informally I’m the Cresco Excel go-to and coffee machine maintenance expert!  I am also a part of our Cresco Cares Committee.

You’ve been in this industry for over 10 years now – what do you think sets the Cresco team apart from others?

Cresco by far has been the best team I’ve worked with. I strongly believe what sets us apart is our client-centric focus. When we say we’re invested in our clients, we truly are – this isn’t just from a business standpoint, but also from a personal relationship one. It’s refreshing to work with a team who values their clients and not the bottom line.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

My favorite part of the job is trading. I enjoy looking at the market trends, rebalancing portfolios and working on spreadsheets.

You’re a very creative person – what do you most enjoy making/which of your creations are you most proud of?

There are two – I create holiday wreaths and bespoke flower arrangements. I love customizing each wreath to suit the style and décor of the recipient. I want each one to be unique and a piece that is a part of their holiday memories. Same goes with the flower arrangements. There is just something about putting together these pieces that fills me with such pride.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Our team is always growing and many new opportunities can come up. I would be very happy to continue with my current role, but I’d never say no to learning something new!

What is your perfect weekend like?

A perfect weekend would be one filled with good food/wine, beautiful weather and being surrounded by family and friends.

How did you meet your husband Chris?

Chris and I met when I worked at Mexx in 2009. He was friends with the assistant manager and would always stop by during our closing shifts before they would go out. Eventually we became friends, so much so that I would bug him about being interested in one of my cousins. Clearly that didn’t work out! We’ve been married since 2016.

You recently caused a stir in a team meeting which had everyone erupting in smiles and cheers, would you like to share here what your BIG news was?

Ha. Yes, of course. As I mentioned before Cresco is growing, and so are the Cresco babies. This October(ish), my husband Chris and I will be expecting the arrival of our first child, our little baby boy.
