A Recognition Built on Client Experience
Unlike many industry rankings that focus on assets under management or revenue, the 5-Star Advisor designation is grounded in what matters most, the client experience.
Wealth Professional conducted a nationwide survey between January 19 and February 13, 2026, inviting Canadians to nominate advisors who delivered outstanding support. Advisors were evaluated across five key criteria:
- Quality of advice
- Communication
- Responsiveness
- Understanding of client needs
- Long-term relationship management
From more than 600 nominations, a select group of just 39 advisors were chosen.
Meeting the Needs of Today’s Investors
The role of financial advisors continues to evolve as Canadians face more complex financial decisions. Research cited in the report shows that individuals who work with professional advisors are significantly more confident in their financial future, particularly when it comes to long term goals such as retirement.
At the same time, many Canadians have yet to seek professional advice. Programs like the 5-Star Advisors list help highlight those professionals who are making a meaningful difference by providing clarity, guidance, and personalized strategies.
