We\u2019re excited to share the next chapter of Cresco Cares and introduce our 2026 Charity of the Year: Between Friends<\/p>\n
Founded in 2017, Cresco Cares was born from our team\u2019s desire to make a meaningful, lasting impact in the community we\u2019re proud to call home. Each year, we select a primary charity to support through fundraising, volunteering, and awareness, while also participating in smaller initiatives that matter to our team members and clients.<\/p>\n
This work has shaped who we are, deepening our connections with one another and strengthening our commitment to giving back. Together, we\u2019ve raised over $215,000 for local charities, and we are continually inspired by the generosity of our extended Cresco community.<\/p>\n
At the heart of Between Friends is a simple but powerful belief: recreation and social connection should be accessible to everyone.<\/p>\n
For many individuals with disabilities, barriers to social interaction can lead to isolation, loneliness, and missed opportunities for growth. Between Friends works to change that by offering inclusive recreation and social programs that foster belonging, confidence, and genuine connection.<\/p>\n
For more than 40 years, they have empowered children, youth, and adults with disabilities to build friendships, participate in meaningful activities, and engage with their community alongside peers of all abilities. Their programs not only support individual well\u2011being, they help create a more inclusive society where everyone is invited, welcomed, and valued.<\/p>\n
We chose Between Friends because we believe strongly in their mission and in their impact. Their work aligns with Cresco Cares\u2019 values: building connection, breaking down barriers, and helping people thrive.<\/p>\n
