Realizing their oxygen was running out, the exhausted team had to return to base camp.\u00a0 Their heartbreak spelled hope for another team of climbers. Three days later, Edmund Hillary and his Sherpa Tenzing Norgay set out for the top.\u00a0 At 9:00 am they reached the south summit \u2013 but the true summit was still to come.\u00a0 You see the south summit was a false summit.\u00a0 A slight dip before an icy and rocky final spur took the men almost three hours to climb.\u00a0 At 11:30 am on May 29, 1953, the pair reached the highest point on earth and engraved their names in history.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/bigmail.wellington-altus.ca\/t\/c\/8c8d0a8d-afa7-44dc-839d-6dffd80e448d\/00000000-0000-4000-8000-000000000001\">https:\/\/www.nationalgeographic.com\/adventure\/article\/sir-edmund-hillary-tenzing-norgay-1953<\/a><\/p>\n<p>You and I are a bit like mountain climbers &#8211; the &#8220;armchair kind&#8221;!\u00a0 Investors sometimes call the long-term charts of stock markets \u201cmountain charts\u201d. \u00a0\u00a0You can kind of see why when you look at them yourself. \u00a0I\u2019ve included the charts of the S&amp;P 500 and the S&amp;P\/TSX 60 below.\u00a0 Do you see what I see?\u00a0 We\u2019re at the summit.
