Surpasses 1,000 employees and $45 billion in assets under administration<\/strong><\/p>\n

Winnipeg, January 12, 2026<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Wellington-Altus Financial Inc. (\u201cWellington-Altus\u201d), parent company of Canada\u2019s top-rated* investment dealer, is pleased to announce the successful closing of its previously announced nearly $400 million CAD secondary minority common equity investment from Kelso & Company (\u201cKelso\u201d), a leading U.S. private equity firm renowned for its commitment to employee ownership.<\/p>\n

With this transaction, Kelso has acquired a 25% minority stake in Wellington-Altus, confirming an enterprise value of over $1.5 billion CAD. This milestone coincides with two other significant milestones \u2013 Wellington-Altus has now surpassed 1,000 employees across Canada \u2013 in every province, and has now also reached over $45 billion in assets under administration\u2014further validating the company\u2019s growth strategy and market leadership.<\/p>\n

The secondary share sale was supported by well over 99% of Wellington-Altus shareholders.<\/p>\n
