Yet, these tactics may not focus solely on tax efficiency.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">For high-net-worth investors, cascading life insurance can offer a tax-efficient way to transfer family wealth across multiple generations. In general, the strategy involves a whole life insurance policy structured so that a future generation ultimately receives the death benefit.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">Cascading life insurance is designed to shift both ownership and benefits, so they \u201ccascade\u201d between generations. It can be used in various family situations\u2014not just for parents\/grandparents. Aunts, uncles and other relatives who want to support non-child heirs may also find this insurance strategy appealing.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3833 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/advisor.wellington-altus.ca\/towerwealthadvisory\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2025\/09\/7-e1759252606176-1024x333.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">To understand how this works in practice, consider the example of grandparents purchasing cascading life insurance.
