Back in October, our team covered some of the best Pumpkin Spice Lattes in Calgary, and we\u2019re back with another round for the festive season! Our little elves have been hard at work tasting all of the holiday drinks from caf\u00e9s across Calgary, from Peppermint Mochas to Eggnog Lattes and beyond. Looking to only indulge in the best ones? Alforno<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rating: 6.5\/10, 7.5\/10<\/p>\n

Order: Half-sweet Eggnog Latte and Half-sweet Spiced Americano with Cream<\/p>\n

So, we\u2019ve prepared a few notes for a couple of Alforno drinks, depending on what it is you like. If you\u2019re a classic holiday latte kind of person, an option is their Eggnog Latte, while those who don\u2019t like sweeter drinks might opt for the Spiced Americano. Overall, we liked the Americano better, as it wasn\u2019t overwhelming in the spice department, but it still hit those holiday vibes. As for the Eggnog Latte, we think it could\u2019ve been a bit more eggnog-y! They also have a Chai Cinnamon Bun Latte that you can try.<\/p>\n

Rating: 7.5\/10<\/p>\n

Order: Half-sweet Peppermint Latte<\/p>\n

Notes: Can you tell that some of us don\u2019t like things too<\/em> sweet? The Peppermint flavouring in this latte was good, but it tasted low in espresso, as in it almost didn\u2019t taste like coffee. Compared to Starbucks\u2019 Peppermint Mocha, this was a lot lighter and less rich. Their other holiday drink options are a Peppermint Hot Chocolate and Hazelnut Vanilla Latte.<\/p>\n

Mobsquad Cafe (21st Floor of the Edison)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rating: 8\/10<\/p>\n

Order: Eggnog Chai Latte<\/p>\n

Notes: Since Eggnog is such a holiday staple, we had to give it a try. It\u2019s a bit heavier than what we\u2019d normally go for, but the rich flavour and spices were so comforting on that cold day. Mobsquad always delivers on the caffeine front, and you could still taste their delicious espresso through the rich flavours. They also have options like the Dolce Latte, and a Pistachio Cream Matcha, yum!<\/p>\n

Starbucks <\/strong><\/p>\n

Rating: 7\/10<\/p>\n

Order: Caramel Br\u00fbl\u00e9 Latte<\/p>\n

Notes: You can\u2019t not try one of Starbucks holiday drinks, but our mistake on this one was forgetting to order it half-sweet! With the over sweetness, it was hard to taste any of the actual espresso flavour come through, but overall it did have a nice richness of caramel, and the crunchy toppings were a nice touch.<\/p>\n
