The Manitoba Business Hall of Fame recognizes visionary leaders whose entrepreneurial spirit and business achievements have significantly contributed to Manitoba\u2019s economic growth and community well-being. Spiring\u2019s induction celebrates his remarkable career as a pioneering investment advisor and entrepreneur along with his unwavering commitment to philanthropy and community development.<\/p>\n

Charlie Spiring has been a trailblazer in the financial services industry in Canada, first with the founding of Wellington West in 1993, an independent broker-owned investment firm which grew to $10 billion in assets under administration before he sold to National Bank Financial in 2011. Then, in 2017, he partnered with Altus Securities Inc. to found Wellington-Altus Financial Inc., Canada\u2019s fastest-growing independent wealth management firm, surpassing $40 billion in assets under administration, nearly 1,000 employees and now valued at $1.5 billion as a corporation.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Spiring was appointed to the Order of Manitoba for his business achievements and philanthropic efforts through his foundation, numerous community organizations and United Way of Winnipeg.<\/p>\n
