padding-top: 0; margin-bottom: 8pt; padding-bottom: 0; line-height: 1.39;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The U.S. Federal Reserve <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">(Fed) <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">raised interest rates by 25 basis points<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> (bps)<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">in September,<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">marking <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">its<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> first<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">rate <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">hike<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> since <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">July <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">2023,<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">as inflation remains persistently above target<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">.<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">While inflation has reaccelerated, we believe <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">the recent pressure may prove transitory, reflecting highe<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">r food and energy prices stemming from the conflict <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">in the Middle East<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">, tariffs and<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> the<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> broader deglobalization trend.<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">A<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">s of<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> October 5<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><sup>th<\/sup><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">, markets <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">are pricing in roughly an 80% probability that rates remain unchanged at the October meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0pt; padding-top: 0; margin-bottom: 8pt; padding-bottom: 0; line-height: 1.39;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Against th<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">is<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> backdrop<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">,<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> U.S. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">economic activity<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> remains <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">resilient,<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> with forward-looking indicators pointing to <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">continued expansion<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> across both manufacturing and services<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> sectors<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">.<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">W<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">e<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">maintain a <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">constructive<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> outlook on U.S. equities<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">, supported<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> by continued economic growth<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> and strong earnings growth<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">, w<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">hile recognizing<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> that further increases in interest rates could create near-term pressure <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">on <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">more rate-sensitive<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">equities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0pt;
