Eric

Eric Dionne

CFA, MBA, P.Eng

Senior Wealth Advisor & Senior Portfolio Manager

Eric has been advising families since 2009 ensuring they achieve their goals through establishing a long-term financial plan. As the team’s leader, he has worked diligently on instituting repeatable processes within the practice and building a diverse team to ensure our clients and their families receive consistent advice and service through their life events.

Eric spent the early part of his career working as an engineer in the automotive sector eventually switching gears to pursue his interest in investing and working with families. Eric went on to earn an MBA in Investment Management and the globally recognized Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Originally from Kapuskasing, Eric has a strong attachment to his family and his community. He is a member of Rotary Club of Barrie-Kempenfelt, has served as a board member from 2021-2023, and continues to Co-Chair the Colt for the Day event to give local children the chance to play hockey with the Barrie Colts OHL team.

Eric has called Simcoe County home for close to 20 years. He and his spouse, Liz, live in Springwater with their two rambunctious boys and equally energetic dog. He is a cycling enthusiast, snowmobiler, and struggling golfer.

Graham

Graham Ferguson

Graham works with families in areas of investment management and financial planning. With strong ties to the community and a proven track record of providing comprehensive, yet straightforward advice, he has earned the trust of many of the Barrie area’s most successful professionals. In 2021, Graham partnered with the skilled professionals that make up Sunnidale Family Wealth to better service clients.

Graham is the financial planning lead for the team and assists many families in planning for retirement, transitioning their family businesses and developing cash flow strategies. Graham is a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) professional, and a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®). He possesses the necessary accreditations to trade options and is a life insurance advisor. Graham holds an economics degree with a focus on statistical analysis, as well as an MBA.

Graham was born and raised in Barrie and still resides in the area. Graham believes it is important to give back to the community, which has led him to becoming a member of the Rotary Club of Barrie-Kempenfelt. Outside of the office and his volunteer work, Graham is an avid outdoorsman, often spending time camping, hunting and fishing. He enjoys golfing, staying active and spending time with his family and friends.

Meghan

Meghan Simpson

Meghan’s favourite part of being an advisor is celebrating alongside clients when they reach their personal and financial goals and being there to support them through life’s challenges. Meghan has worked in the investment industry since 2011 and uses her extensive experience with complex Estates, Trusts, Insurance, and Charitable Foundations to bring creative financial solutions to the planning table. Meghan also serves as the team’s lead in the areas of Estate Planning and Insurance.

Meghan holds a business degree, is a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®professional, and a life insurance advisor. Meghan’s professional background also includes nearly a decade of revenue development experience in the charitable sector – an area that she still cares deeply about.

Meghan lives in Barrie with her husband, and two teenage daughters. She is a member of the Barrie Rowing Club, a lover of art and design, and an active community volunteer. Meghan is also a recent colorectal cancer survivor and, in her recovery, has become very passionate about women’s health and primary prevention.

When not at the office, Meghan can be found driving her girls to/from swim practice, enjoying the outdoors, rowing on lake Simcoe at sunrise, and pondering a retirement career as a florist (because everyone needs long-term goals).

Blake

Blake Emmott

CPA, CA

Wealth Advisor

Blake services clients in the areas of goals based financial planning, investment management and tax planning. He is a trusted advisor to many clients on their integrated financial affairs. In addition to his work with families, Blake co-leads our Investment Selection Committee on both the private and public side. He also leads our Tax & Accounting integration strategy in support of our clients’ external professionals.

Prior to joining the team, Blake worked in commercial banking and public accounting where he gained experience in audit and advisory, as well as corporate and personal taxation. Blake is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), holds a degree from Western University with a specialization in accounting, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and is a licensed life insurance advisor.

Growing up in the area, Blake has a strong desire to give back. He currently volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Barrie and District as an in-school mentor. Outside of work, Blake and his wife Catherine are avid travellers and always on the hunt for great food. When he is not travelling, Blake can be found enjoying activities outdoors like skiing, hiking and trying to improve his golf game.

Lesley Tierney

Associate Wealth Advisor

Lesley approaches each day with a client-first attitude. Well-known to her colleagues as dependable and proactive, she utilizes her natural problem-solving skills and keen eye for detail to execute on client requests with speed and accuracy. Lesley joined the industry in 2017 and leads our team’s administrative and compliance operations, as well as trade execution.

Lesley’s educational background includes an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics from McMaster University, and she is a member of our Investment Selection Committee where she focuses on investment research in the fixed income space. Lesley is presently working toward earning her Portfolio Manager’s license.

Lesley grew up in Simcoe County and continues to live in the area with her husband, Evan, and their two amazing cats. Outside of the office, Lesley enjoys cheering on her favourite baseball team, reading a good book or attempting to improve her golf game.
