Detailed planning is our core capability.
Working as a team over the years, we have learned that our clients not only want to understand what they should be doing with their accumulated assets, but why. As a result, we are committed to providing an abundance of education, communication, and personal, hands-on involvement to each individual and their family.
We believe that freely sharing our knowledge with our clients helps build a more solid relationship—one grounded in trust and understanding. It’s a source of satisfaction not only for our clients, but for us as well.

CIM®
Greg has been a Financial Advisor since 1999 and is a licensed Portfolio Manager, holding the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Ottawa, majoring in Marketing with a minor in Finance. He is known for building long-term, trusted relationships and helping clients navigate complex financial decisions with clarity and confidence.
Greg is able to advise both U.S. residents and Canadians who hold U.S retirement accounts as a result of time spent working in the United States. He has extensive experience assisting clients with cross-border considerations and the unique planning challenges that arise when assets and lives span both countries.
A strong believer in giving back to his local community, Greg actively supports the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, The Royal Ottawa Hospital, the Ottawa Food Bank, and most recently, Hospice Care Ottawa. He and his business partner, Trevor Johnson, have recently committed to raising a minimum of $500,000 for Hospice Care Ottawa in memory of their partner, Garry Heidinger, who passed away in 2025. To date, more than $200,000 has been raised.
Greg’s family has been part of the Ottawa community for many generations. He is happily married to Lisa, and together they have two children—although “children” may not be the right word at ages 20 and 23.
In his spare time, Greg enjoys playing golf, tennis, and skiing. Most recently, pickleball has been added into the fold.

In 2025, we lost the smartest man in the room—our partner, Garry Heidinger. Not a day goes by without his impact being felt by our team. It’s our mission to keep moving things forward in his name, helping his family and his clients.
We’re also committed to helping fundraise for Hospice Care Ottawa for all they did for Garry, his wife Sharon, and son, Brandon. We wish he could have joined us at Wellington-Altus, based in his hometown of Winnipeg.
Never to be forgotten.
