Good News! Office Photo Tour

Walking past this every morning puts a little extra spring in my step. Briana and I are in full-on “building mode” at Evans Family Wealth. We’ve been busy this summer, assembling a video studio, producing content and decorating our offices—all to get ready to GROW in order to provide better service to you and our community. If you’re wondering, that means providing you with more service—more financial and estate planning, more seminars, and better investment advice and more frequent communication—including via videos!

I’ll admit that learning how to build a video studio was much more daunting in my mind than in reality—although I had no idea I could order so many different cables and still need to use WIFI to connect my iPad to the rig! 🤯

You see the rig here in the boardroom. I use the television behind us as a “green screen” and I’ve got fancy lighting, a good microphone, a laptop, and iPad stand as well as a teleprompter setup so I have no excuses not to produce content that we hope will be of interest to you, your family and friends. 😀

Last week we sent a link to our first podcast style video, and I’ve now produced several videos that we are showcasing on LinkedIn, Twitter and (most recently) Facebook. In case you missed it, here is the link to the podcast video.

We made the move to Wellington-Altus last spring because we wanted to have greater ability to communicate with clients and prospective clients. Wellington-Altus has delivered on their commitments.  A quick story—two weeks ago, I had an idea for a video about Gold making new all-time highs. I wrote the script, recorded, edited and submitted it for approval at 2:30 pm. It was approved and live on LinkedIn and Twitter by 3:30 pm! Best service I have ever experienced in 26 years in the business. This team is legit!

With the decorating nearly complete, I think the offices look great—here’s my office:

The train bridge you see on the wall is a picture from Sault Ste. Marie, my home town.  Interestingly, my architecture thesis was proposed for that site at the Soo Locks. It’s fun to look up and see a piece of home. If you’re in the neighbourhood, we’d love to give you a tour of the new digs!

You can see on the sign above my desk that our mission is “Our family serving your family”.  That’s what this is all about, providing better service to you. To do that, we need to grow—that was the impetus for making the move and it is the rationale for producing so much content.  Here’s why we’d like your help to grow. Over the next several years, I hope to assemble a team of at least one if not two associates (in addition to Briana) to make sure that we have a full team in place to meet all your needs now and into the future.

In order to support that headcount growth, we need to serve more clients. So here’s my ask, help us spread the word! Flip our emails to friends and family. Follow us on social media (links below) and like and retweet/repost our work. This fall we plan to host an in person event with our Chief Market Strategist James Thorne (from the video above). We’ll get a date for you to pencil in soon.

Ultimately, this is about you. This business doesn’t exist without you and your family. Speaking on behalf of mine, we want to say “thank you” for your continued support and we look forward to growing your portfolios and Evans Family Wealth together!
