Introducing Our 12 Months of Giving Project

Introducing Our 12 Months of Giving Project

In January, we look back on the previous year. December is the season of giving, associated with compassion and empathy. But what about January, February, and so on? While I love the amount of giving that is done in December, I always consider where support and funds are going the other 11 months of the year too. Cue The 12 Months of Giving Project!

What is The 12 Months of Giving Project?

Starting in January, our team will be donating to a special organization or initiative for every month of the year. For nine of the 12 months, we will have a team member choose a charity of their choice and donate an established amount towards their programs, projects and beyond. This way, our team is constantly feeling inspired by the work we’re doing.

What happens during the remaining three months?

For the final three months (which will be sprinkled throughout the year), we will turn it back to YOU via social media and have YOU vote for the charity or organization that you want to see funds going to. We’re all in this together!

Where are funds going in January?

I’m so glad you asked. In January, we will be donating to The ALS Society of Canada on behalf of my dad, Gord Shipley. All about support, research and advocacy, the ALS Society of Canada provides information, support, and programs for those suffering from and those close to ALS. It’s a cause that’s near and dear to my heart, and I want to do everything I can to contribute positively to furthering ALS research.

Keep an eye out for an announcement of our February charity on social, chosen by Sukhi! I’ve provided the links here for easy access to that good knowledge:  Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
