Julie is a Certified Financial Planner who holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Accounting from Queen’s University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in History. Her love for the industry started with her father, who was also in the financial services business for over 35 years. In 2012, she took over her father’s wealth and risk management business and joined Bergh Tatomir & Associates in 2014. In 2019, she joined Wellington-Altus Private Wealth to provide greater access to solutions and benefits for her clients. When she’s not working, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, volunteering at her children’s school, as well as exercising and enjoying the outdoors at their family cottage.

Clark Lowry is the Principal of the Lowry Wealth Planning team, and is a Senior Wealth Advisor at Wellington-Altus Private Wealth Inc. Clark is committed to providing excellent client service and putting his client’s interests first. He thrives on helping clients make strong financial decisions, and supporting professionals and business owners with sound advice and strategic direction. Clark and his team value a strong work ethic and long-established client partnerships.

He enjoys building relationships, and he ensures he’s always available with guidance and solutions for any challenge. He completed his diploma in Business Administration at SAIT Polytechnic in 2008, earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation in 2011 and his Canadian Securities Course (CSC) in 2017. He started his career in financial services at Freedom 55 Financial in 2008. Outside of work, Clark dedicates his time to his family and friends. He also enjoys fishing and playing hockey.

Taylor Carter Hilton

Taylor Carter-Hilton has completed various post-secondary courses in the realm of coding and graphic design through the British Columbia Institute of Technology while also having completed the Real Estate Course at UBC Sauder School of Business and two years of her Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Okanagan College. After taking the leap to move to another province and work alongside Julie Shipley-Strickland in September 2021, she has been lovingly dubbed the “Jill of all trades.” Taylor was promoted to Operations Lead in June of 2023 and manages all aspects of Julie and Clark’s business, including day-to-day operations and is still a main point of contact for clients throughout their journey. Taylor always maintains a methodical, diligent, and ever-professional presence willing to take on anything.

Taylor is committed to being a lifelong learner and is eager to continue building on her already robust skill set. She is currently completing the Canadian Securities Course, and her next goal will be the Wealth Management Essentials course. When she isn’t at the office, Taylor loves getting outside, exploring different parts of the city, spending quality time with friends, and travelling back to the Okanagan to visit family.

Bryan Shipley

Bryan Shipley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Concordia University and previously worked at another firm as a Financial Advisor for 10 years. Bryan and Julie have been working alongside each other since 2013, but it wasn’t until 2023 that he officially joined the team. He is extremely passionate about getting clients to their financial goals, which has resulted in him referring to himself as a “Financial Personal Trainer.” When guiding clients through complex financial decisions, Bryan works hard to provide clarity and expertise. He meticulously analyzes clients’ unique circumstances with the end goal of developing tailored plans, optimizing growth, and safeguarding assets.

In addition to his many accomplishments, Bryan spent six years serving Canada in the army, which instilled in him a discipline that he utilizes day in and day out. When he’s not building out investment strategies and insurance solutions, Bryan enjoys golfing, long-distance running, tending to his pets and spending quality time with those closest to him. For him, it’s the little gains that make up the big moments.

Pedro Lin Truglio

Pedro Lin Truglio has received various certifications in the disciplines of financial planning and wealth management, including the Canadian Securities Course. In addition to this, he completed his Bachelor of Business Administration and Finance at Mackenzie University. Pedro first stepped into wealth management during an internship in late 2011 and started with Julie Shipley-Strickland Wealth & Risk Management in May 2023. Previous to this, Pedro was working as an Administrative Associate and Investment Representative for Scotia McLeod in Toronto. He sees tremendous value in efficient long-term investment decisions and helps to onboard, maintain and close out clients alongside Julie and Clark.

Pedro recently passed the CFA Level 1 and is halfway to obtaining his CIM designation. He has his sights set on finishing the CFA program and completing the requirements needed for his CIM. In addition to his many certifications and accomplishments, Pedro is most proud of his role as a husband, father and Canadian citizen. When not in the office, he can be found cooking, studying and spending quality time with his family and two cats. 

Victoria Pedersen

Victoria Pedersen holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance from the University of Saskatchewan. While she completed her degree, she received the Dembroski Student Managed Portfolio Trust Prize in 2022. She’s a “do it all” kind of person, always keeping her plate full, especially since starting with Julie Shipley-Strickland Wealth and Risk Management & Lowry Wealth Planning in May 2023. Victoria is involved at every step, from account openings to client inquiries, across both the investment and insurance sides of the business.

Victoria is most proud of her ability to put herself through university, completing her degree in only 3.5 years. In further developing her skills, she plans to complete her Canadian Securities Course by the end of 2024 and start working on her CFA shortly after. Outside of work, Victoria is happiest hiking in the mountains, spending time with friends and family, going to her family cabin in the summer and walking her dogs Taffy and Bean.

Sukhjeet Sihdi

Sukhi Sidhu possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree and, throughout her career, has acquired various skills surrounding business communication and administration. She has gained a strong understanding of the petroleum industry through her previous work as a Contract Analyst. Since joining the team in 2019, Sukhi has effectively supported advisors and clients. Always up for a new challenge, Sukhi is a dedicated and organized multitasker who serves as a valued member of the team.

Sukhi loves being outdoors in her free time, whether on long walks or on a mountain hike. She’s always determined to make time for friends and family, especially for a movie night and can often be found volunteering at the Sikh temple and the food bank.

Connor Chartier

Connor Chartier holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Management from Mount Royal University. His first two years of education were spent at Western University, finishing his last two and obtaining his degree at Mount Royal. Throughout his years of schooling, Connor played on the men’s hockey team at Western and Mount Royal University. Connor joined Julie Shipley-Strickland Wealth & Risk Management and Lowry Wealth Planning in September of 2023. Connor is heavily involved in assisting Clark and Julie in servicing clients while working toward his CIRO registration. Connor is passionate and enjoys helping clients achieve their goals.

Connor is most proud of completing his business degree and working towards his CIRO registration to become a well-rounded full-service advisor. When not in the office, Connor enjoys playing hockey and golf, spending time with his friends and family, and trying out new restaurants throughout the city.

Tania Leblanc

Tania LeBlanc has completed various post-secondary courses while attending Brock University in Ontario. After making the big decision to move to Alberta from her lifelong home province in the fall of 2022, she embarked on a new career journey, joining the world of insurance. Tania’s previous experience in other realms of the insurance industry made her a perfect fit for the Insurance Associate role, and joined Julie Shipley-Strickland Wealth & Risk Management and Lowry Wealth Planning in January of 2024. Tania is involved throughout our clients’ entire insurance journey, completing applications, all stages of policy underwriting and supporting client needs, even after their policies are in place.

Tania possesses the “go getter” attitude and is currently working on her LLQP licensing. When not in the office, you can find Tania exploring the mountains, attending Calgary Flames games, visiting local farms (she’s a lover of cows), and sharing cuddles with her two bunnies, Joey and Frankie.
