Snowbirds who spend their winters in the United States may not be aware that they could face U.S. tax consequences if spending extended periods of time there. Being aware of U.S. tax rules for visitors can help Canadian snowbirds plan ahead and enjoy their time south of the border without overstaying their welcome.
