Wellington-Altus Founder and Chair Charlie Spiring named to the Manitoba Business Hall of Fame

WINNIPEG, TORONTO, and MONTRÉAL, November 10, 2025 — Wellington-Altus Financial Inc. (Wellington-Altus)—parent company to Canada’s top-rated* investment dealer—is proud to learn that Charlie Spiring, Founder and Chair of the company, will be inducted into the prestigious Manitoba Business Hall of Fame in the spring of 2026.

The Manitoba Business Hall of Fame recognizes visionary leaders whose entrepreneurial spirit and business achievements have significantly contributed to Manitoba’s economic growth and community well-being. Spiring’s induction celebrates his remarkable career as a pioneering investment advisor and entrepreneur along with his unwavering commitment to philanthropy and community development.

Charlie Spiring has been a trailblazer in the financial services industry in Canada, first with the founding of Wellington West in 1993, an independent broker-owned investment firm which grew to $10 billion in assets under administration before he sold to National Bank Financial in 2011. Then, in 2017, he partnered with Altus Securities Inc. to found Wellington-Altus Financial Inc., Canada’s fastest-growing independent wealth management firm, surpassing $40 billion in assets under administration, nearly 1,000 employees and now valued at $1.5 billion as a corporation.

Earlier this year, Spiring was appointed to the Order of Manitoba for his business achievements and philanthropic efforts through his foundation, numerous community organizations and United Way of Winnipeg.

In response to the announcement, Founder and CEO Shaun Hauser said: “We’re thrilled to see Charlie recognized in the Manitoba Business Hall of Fame. Spiring will be formally recognized at the Manitoba Business Hall of Fame’s 12th annual induction ceremony on April 14, 2026, joining an important group of leaders who have shaped the province’s business landscape.
