Investment Advisor, Insurance Advisor
So many people work their whole life to build a sense of wealth. Once they’ve achieved that goal, they want to know that it means something not only for them, but for future generations. I want to be part of that journey.
Many people spend a lifetime building wealth. When they reach that milestone, the next question often becomes: What does this mean for me and for the people I care about? Rica is passionate about helping clients find those answers—and guiding them on a path where their wealth has purpose and impact.
As one of the first advisors at Wellington-Altus, Rica places lasting relationships and meaningful financial planning at the core of her practice. She believes financial knowledge is empowering and ensures her clients clearly understand their options and feel secure in the decisions they make.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Rica began her career in wealth management in 1998 at CIBC Wood Gundy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Winnipeg, majoring in Business. Rica has held her Canadian securities registration since 2000. A lifelong learner, she has also obtained her life and accident & sickness insurance license through the insurance council of Manitoba.
Since joining the Spiring Wealth Management team in 2012, Rica has remained dedicated to helping clients preserve and grow their assets through holistic, personalized planning. She specializes in working with clients who prefer a thoughtful, values-driven approach to wealth—people who want to simplify the complex and focus on what truly matters in their lives.
“In the 20-plus years I’ve been in this industry, it’s changed a lot. Today, clients aren’t just looking for someone to manage their money—they want an advisor who understands their story and helps them align their financial life with their personal goals.”
Outside of work, Rica is an active member of her community, including her role as past Chair of the Board of Directors at the RBC Convention Centre. She enjoys life’s simple pleasures, especially traveling and making memories with her husband and two daughters.
