So many people work their whole life to build a sense of wealth. Once they’ve achieved that goal, they want to know that it means something not only for them, but for future generations. I want to be part of that journey.

Creating lasting relationships while helping people give meaning to their wealth are two of Rica’s passions. A strong advocate for financial literacy, Rica believes that everyone should have a basic knowledge of finance—and she aims to ensure that clients understand the choices that they are making when it comes to their investments.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Rica started her career in the Wealth Management industry at CIBC Wood Gundy in 1998. She graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a focus on Conflict Resolution and Business Administration. Rica went on to complete her Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Conduct and Practice Handbook Course (CPH), Wealth Management Essentials Course (WME), and Options and Derivatives licensing Courses at the Canadian Securities Institute. She obtained her Life and Accident and Sickness Insurance license. Rica’s community involvement includes being the incoming Chair (2021) of the Board of Directors at the RBC Convention Centre.

Since joining the Spiring team in 2012, she has been dedicated to helping clients preserve and grow their assets through holistic planning. Rica’s priority is to simplify the complexities of wealth management, so her clients can have peace of mind and focus on what matters most to them. “In the 20-plus years I’ve been in the industry, it’s evolved a lot. Before, there was no ‘getting to know you’ process. Now, we’ve learned that people expect and deserve more from their trusted advisors.”

Enjoying the simple things in life is a theme that Rica values in her personal life as well. Rica loves spending time with her husband and 2 daughters exploring new places and making memories.
