Good News! A Wedding Story about the Moon

wedding photo

On a starry Christmas Eve night, a Grandfather bundled up his 8 year old granddaughter, and took her outside to see the moon.  That night, in the moonlight, he taught her to find the Big Dipper.  Almost twenty years later, everytime she sees the moon, Briana finds the Big Dipper and thinks of Grandpa John.

That was our last Christmas with Dad – characteristically, he used his time to make a lasting memory.  Though he’s been gone for 19 years now, he was instrumental in making another memory at Briana’s wedding.  She and I danced to a song that he had written for her when she was born.  The moonlight shone bright that night!

Fittingly, the Museum of Nature features a huge model of the moon (seen in the photo above).  Those of you with keen eyes will also notice the “Double Lancet Windows” that frame them!

Briana and Sam have now returned from their honeymoon – and the real adventure of making a life together starts.  It’s exciting to watch the next generation “Shoot for the Moon!”.

This proud Dad is thankful.  Thankful for such a fine young son-in-law.  Thankful for such a fantastic daughter.  Thankful for the blessings of family.  And thankful for the friendships and relationships we’ve built with you as Briana and I work together to help you reach your “moonshots”.  Briana and I have been wowed by how many have reached out to congratulate and encourage us.

You and I have been building into each other’s lives for over 25 years now – getting to know your stories and sharing our stories is what makes this career so rewarding.  It transforms providing financial advice into forming friendships!  Here’s to 25 more!

Thanks

Glen and Briana
